14 weeks

The highlight of 14 weeks is the ultrasound at 14w4d.... This was the one that told us we are having another boy. Both IJ and the technician saw it so clearly. I had a sinus headache and I couldn't see too well but if they saw it, it must be there.

I did have a little gender disappointment but I thought about how little boys love their mommys and how much money we will be saving without having to buy new strollers and carseats. I also have lots of new stuff that Jr never wore, a lot of it with tags on it. It will also be nice to see if they look alike and act alike. A little boy will probably be tough enough to handle his rowdy brother, lol. I really cant wait to meet our little SONshine.

He measured at exactly 14w4d and has a heart beat of 154bpm...

Now for 6 months of cooking this baby....

Telling the family!

For a moment i was really excited with telling our family the news, but as I started to become nervous about being ready for #2, that excitement disappeared. I still havent told most of our family and at this point I am not even sure when we will tell....it is pregnancy, I am sure it will come out...eventually.

Yes, a big fat positive.

I was feeling all the signs of my period coming. It had been over a week of the dull feeling and 3 days past my expected period. I figured there was no harm in taking a pregnancy test and kept reminding myself that it was okay if this wasn’t the month. What to do know…it was positive. I woke IJ up to show him and with a big smile on his face said “How did that happen?”

You would think I would have known, I had stopped drinking, I couldn’t eat anything and all of a sudden, I was super-focused. And so our journey to being a family of 4 began!!!
