19 weeks, the big reveal...

19 weeks,

This the week we had the much detailed anatomy ultrasound. all the measurements of his development came within a +/-3 days which is great. It was so gut-wrenching to see if the head, stomach, arms, legs, heart, kidneys, brain and all that stuff looked normal. The lil one had a strong heartbeat of 142 bpm and we were just so excited to see him. Even Jr enjoyed seeing "the baby in the belly"

He certainly did not keep us waiting, he flashed his goods to show what we wanted for so long to confirm. ITS A BOY. At the 14 week ultrasound the technician was 80% sure but now we have 100% confirmation. A little brother for the lil riot we have. I am ecstatic. Little boys love their mommas and I cant wait to meet him. He looks like his brother already...

As for me, the bump is growing. Definitely bigger than last week. Gained about 0.8 pounds, I was definitely not looking forward to that scale going up but its not a lot, I am still at -8 pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight. I guess I have to take it easy on the sweets and be a little more active.

18 weeks

18 weeks,

The bump is growing. I am so anxious for the anatomy ultrasound next week. I cant wait to see how the little one is developing inside of me. I have been feeling his flutters during the day as I drink my morning tea or when I drink ice cold water during the day. He is definitely as active as his little brother. My weight is still constant, no weight gained or lost in the last few weeks. Considering how much of a couch potato I have been, that is definitely a good thing.

17 weeks

17 weeks,

I am starting to feel more and more human by the day. I have gotten around to cleaning the house and making dinner every night like I used to, I know both Itayis appreciate that. Its amazing how quickly we forget the pains of pregnancy. I have been comparing my old pregnancy pictures and the new ones, I am definitely growing faster than I did the last time as you can see with the side-by-side comparisons. I still haven't gained any more weight, which ofcourse is a great thing. Hopefully we can make it to 20 weeks with the -8-10 pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight.

Major differences

I am still carrying some weight, well pretty much all the weight I gained while pregnant with Itayi Jr but I thought doing a comparison of how big my belly is compared to the last pregnancy would be pretty fun. It is clear that I am carrying this baby quite differently, I seem to be carrying him quite low compared to Jr. All the pregnancy ailments came hard and fast. I didnt have any morning sickness first time around but now it seems to be the order of the day. This is the first picture I could make a comparison on.....

15 weeks

15 weeks, nothing exciting yet. I am doing okay with the weight which is quite ironic because I cnt stop eating. I havent gotten around to working out more but hopefully I can get more energy and be a little more active. I am starting to get more excited about having another boy in this house. Jr could really use a little brother.
